Type LP3 low profile antenna is designed for use on vehicles operating under severe
height limitations such as buses, trains, trams, trucks etc. Radiation is omnidirectional and the antenna is vertically polarised. Gain is remarkable for an antenna of such low height.
Type LP3 has unity gain over the transmit segment (5 MHz) of the frequency band.
The antenna LP3 has no tuning devices at all and no adjustment is necessary. The radiating element is enclosed in a tough ABS moulding with an aluminium base plate. The moulding is ribbed for additional impact strength. Type LP3 is supplied as a fully assembled, sealed unit ready for fitting directly to the mounting surface.
